Vatnsfjordur at Djup is known for preaching
sermons that are to the point and sharply
delivered. Church services and funerals conducted
by the old Reverend were always very short and
the congregation was never known to be bored
by them. There was simply no time for that.
Once when Reverend Baldur was conducting
a service in Ogur at Isafjardardjup, he ended his
sermon abruptly with the following words:
"Stay vigilant for the Devil never takes a
holiday.
