Violet got the job of contacting her sister, Edith, and finding out whether she would come to town and testify. Violet outlined for Edith what had occurred at the family court concerning their father. "I don't know if it's wise for me to attend, but I will come and talk to you if I may. At any rate, when I visited you, I found it too difficult to tell you what was on my mind then."
Shortly after noon that same day, Edith had arrived in town, and Violet picked her up at the Reykjavik Municipal Airport.
