Clearwater, Kansas-1966-I experienced a very unusual sighting when I was 18 years old and now am much older. I was traveling with my brother and mother around Clearwater, Kansas, in October 1966. It was around 8:00 PM. as we went over the railroad tracks when we observed an object hovering over the tracks. It flew over our car and stopped in midair and shown these extremely bright lights into the car. It made no noise. My brother stopped the car and both my mother and brother just stared at it. They seemed mesmerized by it and I told my brother, "Don't stare, just go."

Arizona-Casa Grande & Phoenix-11-30-11:30 PM-Pinal or Marricopa county-Witness and brother were driving to Phoenix and somewhere after Casa Grande a bright light about 45 degrees to the right caught their eye. They first thought they were seeing an airport light, but the light was not rotating as it should have been. The object/light was a very bright blue color, and glowed constantly. They were both mesmerized by its appearance, and both agreed it was brighter than any object they had ever seen in the skies of Phoenix. source: http://www.ufoinfo.com/

Welcome to another session of UFO sightings. Reports were down this week, as is the case around the holiday seasons, but we still have some very interesting reports to look over.

12-17-Florida-While walking on the beach at Cherie Down Park, the witness looked out over the ocean. He spotted a Navy submarine going out toward Cape Canaveral. He then noticed an object that resembled a pie pan, turned upside down. The object was metallic, with an extension on its top. It looked transparent, like a cover on a dish. The witness could also see a horizontal line which spanned the circumference of the object. There were no wings or propellors. The object was flying over the restricted air space of the Cape. Taking his eye away from the object for only a few seconds to check on the submarine, the object had disappeared when he looked back. www.mufon.com

Arkansas-07-30-Malvern-At 12:45 AM on a partly cloudy night, witness went outside to enjoy the warm night, full moon, and stars. After about 15 minutes, witness saw to his left, from 30-40 degrees above horizon, a rapidly blinking light. The object was a bit larger than a star, and blinking rapidly. The unknown object moved across the sky to the left, following an erratic path. It seemed to follow the path of a horseshoe, moving in, then out, up and around, and then back down. It then disappeared behind a cloud bank. Across the sky quite a distance away, witness spotted another light, which moved in the same direction as the first UFO had. Finally, it disappeared behind the same cloud as the first object.

California-10-20-This first sighting comes from a schoolteacher-I was bringing my sixth grade students back in from the playground at 1:00 in the afternoon. I noticed a small, white, circular object following a westbound passenger jet. The object then stopped and began heading in the opposite direction for a few seconds. It then started slowly heading north towards the San Bernardino Mountain range. One of my male students was watching this object with me, and he stated that he had seen the same type of object the previous week at about the same time. (I remember that he had told me about his sighting from the previous week.)

Colorado-11-06-Witness and a friend were walking down a dark street at night. Witness was observing the stars in the north-northeast, and all at once, he noticed a very bright light about 60 degrees above the horizon. This light was much brighter than even the planet Venus, and about an inch and a quarter wide at arm's length.

Arizona-2007-In Tumacacori, a group of people were doing some sky watching, when a few small lights began moving erratically in the night. All of a sudden, three more, much larger and brighter objects were visible, flashing in a series from left to right. The brightness of the lights made it impossible to discern a shape. Finally, one more object appeared to their left, the other lights moved upward, and then they all disappeared.

California-08-26-07-2:30 AM-I received the following sighting report from one of our readers. In the city of Lakewood on a cloudy night, a blinking light appeared. I thought it was a star or plane moving. It kept blinking: moving back and forth then disappeared when a thick cloud went by. 2:30 AM Sunday 08/26/07 source: about.com reader Paul M.

California-mid 80s-I received the following report from one of our readers.

1) UFOs originate here on Earth, either by secret government manufacturing, or by a non-human race which secretly lives on Earth.

2) UFOs are flying vehicles which move through another dimension of space and/or time, enabling them rapid access to and from our planet.

California-08-30- I received this report through my personal e-mail. The witness states: I live in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Last night, August 30, when it started to get dark my daughter was in the backyard with two younger cousins and they spotted a light that moved in circles and then it would appear to be bouncing. We kept watching it for over 30 minutes and it keep moving up and then down slowly and then in circles.

Of the information that Anna gives in her article, there is one point that really struck home to me, and that is the "feeling" that some UFO witnesses receive when they see a UFO, or are about to see one. I had just finished talking to a witness of an event in America about this very thing. She had asked me if I heard from witnesses who claimed a premonition, or a "good" feeling before sighting a UFO. Well... the answer to that question is yes, although I cannot say exactly why this is. Consider this case from 1989, that Anna describes to us.

Working one night in a grocery store, he saw something very unusual, a pear-shaped UFO, with rotating lights. It was hovering over an empty lot next to the grocery store. Since that event, some 30 years ago, he has never lost the fascination he felt that first time.

California-08-2006-On a whim, I decided to peruse your site. When I got to the photo of the 1989 sighting in Petit Rechain, Belgium, I was quite surprised.

Last year in August of 2006, I saw something very, very similar to this passing over my home in Petaluma, CA. It was triangular in shape, and it had lights on the underside in exactly the same locations that appear in the photo, but they were very faint and red-more like the glow of an electric heating element.

The gathering of these reports ceased in 1984, with reports going back to 1947. There are a couple of reports that stand out.

Local officials alerted fire, police, and other rescue departments to the reports and the possibility of a plane crash. The search to the alleged crash site was actually led by eyewitnesses, who directed the rescue units to the location of the incident.

Arizona-09-14-05-Gilbert-The witness states: My wife and I were driving home from Scottsdale, Arizona, on Wednesday evening September 14, 2005. It was approximately 8:45 PM, when in the southeast sky I noticed a light, stationary and pulsating. I thought it was very odd to see that sort of light characteristic in the flight path of Sky Harbor Airport. It just hung over the San Tan Mountains in the southeast sky.

California-09-05-Oakland-The witness states that: While driving along our famous 880 freeway, in Oakland where I have observed most of my freeway sightings, I noticed a sparkling glint in the hot, hazy white bright, mid-morning sky. It was about 12:20 PM. The glint was very bright, and that immediately attracted my attention.

I hear constantly that they are made up then they are real from others, millions of people talk about their sightings each year and they can't all be lying!

California-09-12-The witness was driving along the Arroyo Parkway, and while waiting to make a turn onto Filmore Avenue, he suddenly felt like looking up. What he saw was amazing-an object which was spinning, circular-shaped, and silver in color. This was a classic UFO with lights around the outside, and a dome-like top. The UFO was several hundred feet above him and as long a football field. The man was shocked by the size of the object, and had it not been for heavy traffic, he would have stopped and got out to get a better look. The great number of good quality reports have continued to spawn documentaries for television that are being shown in the St. Clair area. The area became famous for its massive wave of triangle sightings in 2000, but that was not the end of the story. These reports of strange sightings continue even today. On Wednesday, June 20th, 2007, sometime between noon and 1:00 PM, my mother was snapping a photo of this statue at the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima Shrine in Washington, New Jersey while on a spiritual retreat. When she came home and we were scrolling though the pictures, this jumped right out at me. No one recalled seeing anything unusual that day, and no one could recall any flights passing over of any kind.

Colorado-08-17-At about 11:00 PM, our witness was outside on his reclining chair, doing some stargazing. It was often his routine to watch the skies through his binocular for several hours at a time. Now and then, he would see some unidentified objects, but they were always very high, and therefore small. But this night would be different. He was an object much closer than before, he panned across the sky, and then when trying to relocate the white UFO, he found it was gone. He kept his binoculars trained on the spot, and sure enough it returned, this time reappearing in a slightly different spot, and soon disappear and reappear again in a slightly different part of the sky. -source: www.mufon.com

California-09-24-Witness was out on his balcony smoking, and as was his custom, he liked to count the airplanes that flew over his location. His apartment is located in the hills, so he commands a great view of the area. On the day of September, 24, he noticed an orange-red light that appeared to be sitting still in the sky. He looked away for a time, but when he looked back to the same spot, the UFO had not moved. Soon, a second, identical object appeared near the first object. Soon, one of the objects finally moved, and soon the second one also left the area. He was baffled at what he saw, and has never seen anything like he did this night. source: www.mufon.com

A good friend of Ed's, Larry Requa, related the story to him and several family members. Larry's experience occurred when he was a member of the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police). As a constable, he was assigned the task of trying to find a missing prospector. He was flown to a lake, dropped off, and began to follow the prospector's tracks.

Arizona-11-12-Our witness was at Lake Havasu looking at stars through his telescope. As he took a short break, he saw with the naked eye, a bright star low on the southern horizon. He quickly located it through his scope, and could now clearly see that the object was actually a cluster of lights, not one. This unusual cluster began moving from his west to his east. He tracked it for a full two minutes. His wife and daughter were called, and they also witnessed the object, which they all agreed was a boomerang-shaped cluster of 6-7 lights. Soon, they began to see a glowing light below them just off the road. As they approached the sight, Walton's friend Mike Rogers stopped his pickup truck. The seven workers stared in awe at the sight of a large, luminous object with the shape of a flattened disc.

Florida-12-04-While walking his dogs at night, the witness was looking up into the sky on a clear starlit night. Several shooting stars had zoomed by not too many nights before, and the witness was hoping for an encore. At about 9:30 PM, a green orb was seen to fly over and then disappear. The witness thought at first he was seeing fireworks of some type. But, this object had made no sound, and had no trail. Also, the orb never changed shape, like it was solid in structure. California-08-12-The witness was watching the start of the recent meteor shower with his son. It was about 10:00 PM when they lay on their trampoline looking towards the northeast. They noticed what they thought at first was a satellite, but they quickly changed their minds, when the object began zig-zagging across the sky. The object also pulsated, fading in and out, as it moved from the southwest to the north. All of a sudden, the object was gone. Both father and son were somewhat shaken by what they had seen.
