The Fayetteville, North Carolina Encounter

The Fayetteville, North Carolina Encounter

Introduction

In October of this year, the Discovery Channel aired a program called "UFOs over Earth." The program was a one hour presentation of MUFON's findings on an extremely compelling case of UFO sightings, an alien encounter, and possible alien abduction. Mutual UFO Network was represented by International Director James Carrion, along with Rich Lang, Steve McGee, Norman Gagnon, and Tim McHush.

This events of this case took place in Fayetteville, North Carolina on January 8, 2007, and involved five men. The main eyewitness and possible abductee was Chris Bledsoe Sr. Other key witnesses were Chris Bledsoe Jr., Donny Ackerman, Gene Robinson, and David McDonald. Bledsoe Sr. was a successful builder, commercial pilot, and well respected in his community.

Case Details

Bledsoe Sr., Ackerman, Robinson, and McDonald were fishing on the banks of Cape Fear River. Bledsoe Sr. took a short walk up the road leading from the river bank. He soon sighted two orange UFOs in the sky, which were soon joined by a third. Excited by what he saw, he hurried back down to the river bank to tell the three waiting fishermen. He believed that he had been gone about twenty minutes.

The three fishermen had begun to worry after Bledsoe had been gone for 3 or 4 hours, and two of the men drove up and down the road looking for him, but saw him nowhere. Where could Bledsoe have been for that amount of time? There was, without a doubt, missing time during Bledsoe's walk.

His three fishing buddies spotted the three unknown objects in the sky, and felt that they were being invaded. He stated that the three objects eventually slowly disappeared behind trees on the other side of the river. They were so frightened that they dropped their fishing gear where they stood, ran to their trucks, and sped away down the road. As they arrived at a nearby intersection, they saw the lights again, and also a larger, oblong-shaped object with protruding spikes around it.

Alien in the Woods

As an apprehensive Bledsoe arrived home, soon he heard his dogs barking outside. He went out to his backyard to find out what the dogs were upset about. He saw his Chesapeake Bay Retriever rush into the woods, with the other dogs in pursuit. Bledsoe joined the hunt.

After a short period of time, he was startled to come upon a small, alien being standing directly in front of him!

He described the being as about 3 feet tall, and appearing as if it had been dipped in glass. He was close enough to lean over and touch it. He also told investigators that the being had red eyes.

Soon some of the dogs arrived at Bledsoe's location, and as they did, the being disappeared. At about the same time, Bledsoe Jr. was out in his backyard. He claimed that he saw two, red orbs floating through the forest, soon followed by several of the small aliens emerging from the woods.

Effects on Bledsoe Sr.

For a time, Bledsoe kept his experience within his family, but as time went by, he felt that he had to tell his story to find some solutions to what he had experienced. All along, he had his own doubts about what he had seen, yet he was still convinced that what he experienced was real. The missing elements of Bledsoe's encounter had caused him great concern, anxiety, and intense headaches. The entire ordeal had also put a great stress on his marriage with his wife, Yvonne.

The MUFON team was extremely impressed with Bledsoe as an honest, reliable individual, and were determined to further investigate the sightings, the missing time, and attempt to find out if Bledsoe had indeed been the victim of alien abduction.
